My original career path was science, majoring in entomology at Oregon State Univeristy, and working in agriculture. This educational and work experience in science helped hone critical skills in analysis and problem solving.

When starting an independent investment business over twelve years ago two things were obvious: I could only succeed against my much larger corporate competetors by having an unconditional, unwaivering loyalty to customers first through aligned interests, and by doing things differently.

Therefore from the start I’ve been committed to a fee-based investment business model that creates aligned interests, and builds strategies around client’s needs, not products. What is in a portfolio has nothing to do with commissions: There aren’t any. Investment strategies are built utilizing the full range of choices available, not a limited list approved by the corporate office, and not influenced by the potential commission payouts to the broker.

As a result our success is tied to yours. If customers don’t grow and prosper, we don’t either, and that’s they way we think it should be.
